Key points when learning to drive
Â Â Â Â Apply for your driving licence in plenty of time
Â Â Â Â Find a good driving instructor - this is not as easy as it seems and you may want to speak to friends and family to find out who they had lessons with. On the other hand, find a good instructor and give them a try, before handing over too much money in advance
Â Â Â Â Make sure you can afford it - many people start learning to drive without thinking about the total cost. learning to drive can be expensive but is nothing compared to the cost of running a car. Make sure you have set aside the funds.
Â Â Â Â Consider suitable clothing for driving lessons - reasonably loose clothing is more comfortable. Try to avoid shoes which don't give much feel. Driving in high heels or wellies probably isn't the best choice and yes, bare feet driving is legal!
Â Â Â Â When you are driving take note of your instructor - they are there to assist and support your learning
Â Â Â Â The key point is that a car can be a dangerous machine. When you're driving you are in charge of it and have a legal duty of care. Kep this in mind for your driving future and you should be OK.
Â Â Â Â Finally, enjoy the experience
